According to Jalandhar Municipal Corporation, there are about 1,65,000 taxable properties in the state. The Municipal Corporation of Jalandhar last year sent notice under Section 112 of the Municipal Corporation Act wherein the defaulters need to file a reply within 3 days failing to which their property will be sealed. The Corporation time and again appeals to the citizens to pay taxes on time and creates awareness through radio, running ads on local media channels also on social networking sites, and displaying posters on the roads. Procedure for mcjalandhar.in Property/ House Tax Payment Online
To Pay Property/ house tax online please follow the instructions below;
- Please visit the official web page => https://mseva.lgpunjab.gov.in/citizen/.
- Click on the language of your choice here we shall click on English.
- To register enter your Mobile Number, Name, and City.
- If you already have an account login with your mobile number you shall receive OTP.
- You will then be redirected to a new page on the home page you will see a Property ICON. Click on the same.
- On a new page fill in the details there your ULB number, mobile number, property id other details also, and then click on search.
- In case you wish to add property on the right-hand side of the page “Click on Add Property”.
- You will then be redirected to a new page Click on the Pay Now button and proceed with the payment part.
- Download the property tax receipt and save it for future reference.
MC Jalandhar Property Tax Payment Receipt Download
To download the Payment Receipt in MC Jalandhar, follow the steps below;
- Navigate to the official site of mSeva Punjab i.e. https://mseva.lgpunjab.gov.in/
- On the left-hand side of the Page click on Receipts.
- Enter the Receipt number, and under the Service category select property tax 2013-2014.
- You will be able to see the receipt along with the month and year.
- Download the receipt and save it for future reference.
If you wish to change the Name of the Property you need to visit the nearest Municipal Corporation office. Apart from the Application form you need to carry your Aadhar card or PAN card, documents showing your relationship with the previous owner, the Reason for transfer for example sale deed if the owner brought the property, death certificate in case the previous owner was a relative.
Jalandhar Municipal Corporation House Tax Payment via Offline
To pay the property/ house tax offline the resident owners can visit the Municipal Corporation office and submit the following documents; your property ID number, Aadhaar card or PAN card, cheque or demand draft, and two photographs.
